The Summer Solstice ~ Donna Astill

The Summer Solstice
Hail Sunna in your magnificent splendour,

Shinning bright through the window pane,

Warming the earth to give life,

Careful not to stay too long,

For death can be given too.

This is your year long day,

Now it is time to slowly rest,

You have worked so very hard,

You have shown us your very best,

Now sleep my beautiful golden Goddess.

  1. This is nice. I could ‘feel’ the warmth .. and a touch of sadness as well.
